EcoAction: The EcoAction Community Funding Program provides financial support to community groups for projects that have measurable, positive impacts on the environment. funded projects promote the participation of local communities to address clean air, climate change, clean water, and to protect, rehabilitate or restore the natural environment. EcoAction funding priorities are flexible and reflect current government priorities.
EDF: The Environmental Damages Fund (EDF) is a specified purpose account administered by Environment Canada, on behalf of the Government of Canada, to manage funds received as compensation for environmental damage. They primarily support the restoration of natural resources and environment, and wildlife conservation projects in the same geographic area where the damage originally occurred. The EDF also supports research and development on environmental damage assessment and restoration, and education on pollution prevention and the restoration of natural resources.
Honda Canada Finance provides strong support for environmental initiatives in the communities they serve.
Toronto Parks and Trees Foundation, and the City of Toronto "Water rates to combat the negative effects of Climate Change", supporting greening initiatives to increase the City of Toronto's tree canopy.
